Course Overview
The RSP Level 2 Refresher Course – Behavioral Specialty is designed to help professionals prepare for the Road Safety Professional (RSP) Level 2 Certification Exam – Behavioral Specialty. This course provides a comprehensive overview of behavioral safety concepts within roadway safety, with an emphasis on the human factor and its influence on crash frequency and severity.
The course addresses global roadway safety principles applicable to both engineering and behavioral safety management, while focusing specifically on behavioral components. Topics include human capabilities, limitations, and error; the use of data to identify safety problems and at-risk populations; behaviors that increase crash risk; and proven countermeasures to reduce that risk.
The course also explores multi-agency and multidisciplinary approaches to behavioral safety, including stakeholder roles, safety culture, Safe System principles, and other holistic strategies. Participants are introduced to analytical methods and resources for further study of behavioral safety research and countermeasures.

PDH Credit – 13.5 PDH/CM

Participants earn 13.5 PDH/CM credits upon completion of the full course series.

To earn PDH credit, participants must:

  • Complete all pre-recorded modules

  • Submit the required module evaluations

A PDH Credit certificate will be issued upon successful completion.

Important

  • PDH credit is not awarded to multiple attendees viewing together at one location.

  • PDH credits earned from a certification refresher course do not apply toward the first renewal of the same certification.

  • PDH credits may be applied toward the renewal of a different certification, provided the subject matter is relevant.

Policy

This course is non-refundable.

Participants have 90 days from the date of purchase to complete the course. If the course is not completed within this period, it must be repurchased to regain access.
