Jonathan French, P.E., Engineering Data Manager | MaineDOT | Augusta, Maine, USA

Jonathan French, PE is a co-Secretary for the ITE Roundabout Committee. He has over 19 years of experience in highway design engineering, with a specialty of roundabout design for the Maine Department of Transportation, where he has worked for over 25 years. Jonathan currently serves as the Engineering Data Manager in the Bureau of Project Development overseeing CADD support and development. He is also the author of the first children’s book about roundabouts, Ronda Loves Roundabouts, published by Build The Era, a volunteer-based transportation education and advocacy organization he cofounded.
Scott Ockunzzi, ODOT District 3 Planning Engineer|Ohio DOT | Ashland, Ohio, USA
Scott is the ODOT District 3 – North Central Ohio Planning Engineer. He graduated with a bachelor’s in civil engineering from The Ohio State University in 2008. He worked for Kokosing Construction Company as an estimator and project engineer in the company’s heavy highway division from 2008 – 2015. Scott started with ODOT District 3 in 2015 as a Transportation Engineer in the Traffic Planning section, then took on the roll of District Planning Engineer in 2022.
Lauren Hull, Transportation Engineer | OHM Advisors | Detroit, Michigan, USA
Lauren Hull, PE, RSP1 is a Traffic Engineer at OHM Advisors specializing in transportation safety and data-driven analysis. Her work focuses on improving roadway safety through intersection studies, crash analysis, and the development of Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) initiatives. Lauren is passionate about using engineering solutions to create safer, more efficient transportation systems for all users. In addition to her technical work, Lauren plays an active role in securing funding opportunities for clients through her involvement in OHM Advisors’ Transportation Funding Task Force, helping communities advance critical infrastructure projects. Lauren is deeply engaged in the professional engineering community. She serves as Co-Chair of the Young Professionals Committee for the Michigan Section of ITE, where she also leads the FE/PE study sessions. Beyond the state level, she is actively involved with both the Great Lakes District of ITE and ITE International and regularly participates in volunteer and outreach activities.
Jeff Sobczyk, Vision Zero Coordinator | City of Omaha | Omaha, Nebraska, USA
Jeff is a transportation planner and safety professional dedicated to creating safer, more accessible transportation systems. He is passionate about improving the quality of life for communities by designing streets and multi-modal networks that are connected and prioritize safety, mobility, and universal access for all users. Jeff has served as the Vision Zero Coordinator for the City of Omaha for the past five years and brings more than 11 years of public-sector experience to his work. He holds a master’s degree in Urban Planning and Policy from the University of Illinois Chicago. Guided by the Safe Systems approach, Jeff works to integrate safety into transportation planning, roadway design, capital investment decisions, and public policy. As Vision Zero Coordinator, he has led the implementation of innovative safety projects and is a strong advocate for modern roundabouts, currently helping advance a roundabout-first policy to improve intersection safety systemically throughout Omaha.
Tim Adams, Traffic Engineer & Safety Professional | WSP | Omaha, Nebraska, USA
Tim is an engineer, transportation professional, and safety leader. He is passionate about creating streets and spaces that increase quality of life, economic vitality, and safety of those living along them. Tim serves as a safety and traffic subject matter expert in Nebraska and beyond. He has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and has worked on many projects, from corridor traffic studies to city-wide safety plans. His experience includes working in both the public and private sectors. Tim grew up in a small South Dakota town but has called Omaha and Nebraska home for over a decade. Tim is committed to working with communities to develop transportation systems that meet their unique needs and help them achieve their goals.
